Working principles:

Different liquids have different saturation vapor pressure. At 70, water begins to boil when pressure reaches up to 5 Pa. At the same temperature, the saturation vapor pressure of oil is much lower than that of water. Thus, when the pressure above the oil is reduced to the saturation pressure of water, water in the oil will evaporate.

By vacuum suction, oil gets into the oil tank from the top and spray down through the spray nozzle. Water in the oil is vaporized in the vacuum chamber and pumped out. Dewatered oil is discharges from the bottom. Lipophilic material is stuffed with in the middle of the vacuum chamber, enabling oil sprayed down spread over the surface of the material and form a thin oil film, to increase the gas-liquid interface area and extended the time oil stays in the gas.

The effect of vacuum dehydration has to do with degree of vacuum and oil temperature. The lower the degree of vacuum is and the higher the temperature is, the better the effect is. Oil temperature is generally about 60. High temperature accelerates the oxidation of oil. For hydraulic oil, vacuum degree is generally 600-700 Pa, which can reduce water content below 100ppm. For transformer insulating oil, a higher degree of vacuum can be used, and the water content can be reduced to 10ppm.

Vacuum dehydration can effectively remove water in various states in the oil and remove the oil in the air and a variety of volatile substances.
